PICOTEE/BICOLOURS
Pine Mountain Nursery specialises in picotee/bicolour clivia. Picotee clivia have a very thin margin around the petals. The thinner the margin the rarer the flower. Flowers with a larger margin are called bicolours. Our range include ones with pastel, orange and orange red margins. Set out below are either near flowering size or flowering size picotee clivia. They are one offs, that is, there is only one of each plant available. All the hard work and risk in growing them has been done. If interested in any of these plants please email us with your requirements and an invoice will be made up. The price listed includes GST ex nursery. They can be picked up in pots or posted bare root.
Some have unusual green throats when the buds first start to open and then they turn cream as shown below.
PICOTEES
Picotee offset availability in 2025 is expected to be limited due to the demand for these post COVID. Prior to the flowering season we have listed below for sale premium offsets from our must keep collection that have flowered in prior years. Environmental conditions can and do impact on flower numbers and gene expression in flowers from year to year and therefore the flower pictures should be regarded as being illustrative of the flower outcome. Many of these early plant offsets are flowering size and the pictures will be replaced with this season's flower pictures when available.
This year we expect to have a good supply of first time flowering picotees and many will be added below over spring.

PIC 002 is a stunning picotee with its thin orange margins around the petals. In some years this margin becomes quite thin to nearly non existent. POA

BI-COLOURS
These clivia are a step towards the development of picotee flowers but require further breeding to create seedlings that may be classified as picotee. Whilst not picotees they nevertheless have striking flowers.
