Posted clivia can be sent in either boxes or postal tubes depending on the size.  Contact us to obtain a quotation on postage by sending your post code.

Variegated Orange

Variegated Particolour

These plants are a result of successive pollinations of variegated clivia with pollens from particoloured flowering clivia.  The probability of achieving both variegated and particolour flowering clivia is low and hence this combination is seldom available.

Variegated Orange x Yellow

These plants are a result of pollinated good variegated orange flowering clivia with yellow flowering clivia.  If self pollinated or intercrossed, a percentage of seedlings may be yellow flowering and a small percentage of seedlings may be variegated yellow.  It is difficult to achieve good variegated yellow flowering clivia but one way to achieve that is to breed with variegated orange split for yellow. Do not cross these clivia with pollens from yellow clivia as they will end up with pigmented bases. This is because the orange gene is dominant over yellow genes. They should be intercrossed amongst themselves to achieve some unpigmented seedlings. Pricing levels are based on the quality of the variegation in three categories - poor to average variegation; average variegation to good variegation; and excellent variegation. The higher the quality of variegation the rarer are the plants. Also white variegation as opposed to cream or light green variegation is also rarer. Although some plants shown here only have slight variegation that does not preclude beautiful variegated offsets occurring from these plants.
